I kept the stock rake and trail because I wanted a tight compact look. No front fender. No front brake. The headlight is a repro '36. The bars we cut down about 4inches. The springer front end was our first big hurdle only because no one wanted to do it until I called Big Paul at Bare Knuckle Choppers. The rear brake is a Big Twin version and some handmade mounts. Tank is stock. The seat was covered by Ace Upholstry in Killeen, TX. We made the side mount battery box and use a dog collar for the hold down strap. Electrical is minimal, we cut down probably 90% of the wiring harness and run a push button ignition with toggle switches for lights, power/kill and current. Uni pod air filters required we re-jet the carbs richer and re-set the idle. We cut a donut rear fender down and bobbed it to about ten inches, welded up some hidden struts and use a sparto rear taillight. The license plate bracket is welded to the swingarm. We dropped the seat height about 7inches by cutting the rear section off the back bone and re-welding it lower and tipped down at an angle and at the same time cut off about ten inches of excess frame to the rear. The rear shocks are 11inch FX shocks. The jockey shift a stick of box iron heated and twisted with the clutch lever from a Honda dirt bike welded on. Exhaust pipes are stock with a slash cut and wrapped. Wheels are powder coated rims and hubs with twisted spokes up front running on 130/80/16 whitewall and 150/80/16 whitewall in the back by Black Bike Wheels I kept the original Triumph hub to use the stock disc brake with some new lines. I picked up the chrome cover trans/sprocket/magneto kit from Baxter Cycle and then had my intake manifolds chromed also. The scallops were laid down by Bud at S&S Kustom Shop in Kempner, TX.
